Because I finished the first draft of Christopher Key today, one day ahead of schedule, too; I’d taken the week off and set myself the goal of writing the final three chapters. I’ve had the rest of the book done for months, but I couldn’t write the finale until I’d figured out the battle sequences and got them straight in my head.

Done, done, done, and I’m celebrating with champagne.

And I get tomorrow off, though let’s get real – I can make that last scene better, and I’ll be working it out in my mind all day long.
